2020-2021 Scholarship Fundraiser
Given that we will be limited in our fundraising opportunities for 2020-2021, we've decided to go with a virtual option to continue raising funds to assist local North Texas students attending Penn State. For each $35 donation to the Chapter Scholarship Fund, we'll send you a free Chapter t-shirt. We hope you'll consider a donation in lieu of your usual raffle donations.
The Penn State Alumni Association North Texas Chapter annually awards scholarships to Undergraduate students from the North Texas area attending a Penn State campus in Pennsylvania. The number and amount of each scholarship is dependent upon investment performance and annual donations. At this time, we are able to provide six $1000 scholarships. Each year Penn State University provides a list of eligible students based on home address to our Scholarship Committee. The Committee solicits additional information from each student and then recommends a list of worthy students to Penn State for each scholarship. Per IRS guidelines, Penn State chooses a student for each scholarship from the list of provided names.
The application for the 2021 North Texas Scholarship is available for a limited time here.
The deadline to apply is July 24, 2020.
